Rodan Builders also recently completed renovations to a section of Doe Library for the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, (BIDS). The main point for this project was to move the BIDS office’s into a temporary location while their old home is demolished and re-built. UC Construction and Design contracted Pivot Interiors to install a state of the art office system provided by Dirtt. Dirtt provided the material and installation of the new office spaces that are comprised of all aluminum and glass.
Rodan’s role was to provide all of the infrastructure for the Dirtt system, including new electrical and mechanical systems, upgrades to the existing fire sprinkler system for each added office space, along with new flooring that utilized under floor raceways for getting power to the new furniture.
