Rodan Builders was awarded this OSHPD contract to modernize the elevator system at San Francisco General Hospital. After weeks of going through a rigorous pre-qualification and bidding process, Rodan Builders was awarded the San Francisco General Elevator modernization project. This project consists of fire alarm upgrades in 21 lobbies at the heart of the hospital and renovating 13 elevators over a two-year period. Both the fire alarm and elevator system were deferred OSHPD approval. Elevators were removed from service selectively, modernized, then brought back into service before the next elevators was worked on.
