This project included the demolition of interior walls and complete modernization of the space for the Phoebe Hearst Museum Gallery. All new finishes, displays, mechanical and electrical systems were installed along with improvements to exterior patio spaces. This project was completed within an occupied building, so noise was mitigated by working early shifts before students and staff arrived. Also, the basement below the project site contained rare artifacts that required coordination to gain supervised access and protect items during the core drilling process between floors. The mechanical system was modified while maintaining HVAC function to the remainder of the buildings.
