Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all prevailing wage law according to Davis-Bacon Acts and California DIR. This is a full-time non-exempt position. Overtime may sometimes be required on short notice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect and review certified payroll from subcontractors
- Follow up with subcontractors for discrepancies or missing documentation
- Review prevailing wages for accuracy and compliance
- Submit certified payroll records to local and state agencies, as required.
- Review and process material supplier invoices and post for payment
- Maintain escrow ledger
- Other accounting projects, as needed
- Telephone back up support
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industry
- Experience working with prevailing wage law/DIR is a plus.
- Deadline-driven with good judgement and decision making skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong team-player with a “can do” attitude.
